4K nature stock footage

As we are often out in nature on assignments we use all our downtime to create rare and hard to find 4K and HD stock footage.  From terrestrial shots to underwater and drone footage, we do it all. Over the decades our images and footage has been used in magazine, websites, museums, universities and of course in broadcast productions.

Why Subvision Productions?

With Subvision Productions you work directly with the provider of the footage and not a middleman. This means that you can continue to contact us for all your projects and we can make the footage that best suits your company’s focus. It also guarantees that you deal with the copyright and license holder of the footage, preventing unpleasant copyright claims. We do not have huge sections of mediocre images or footage that misrepresents its content.  We offer high quality footage images that match the expectation of your customer or project.  For example, if the clip says “underwater salmon filmed in a river”, it is. That saves you time not having to wade through hundreds of clips that are not relevant. We pride ourselves in correctly identifying the species and behaviour.

We strive to film material that allows you to tell a story. For example the lifecycle of  a red rock crab (Cancer productus) includes mating crabs, female crab carrying egg mass, release of larvae, juvenile crabs etc. Also feeding, hunting, hiding etc. can be part of a story you are trying to tell.

Filming responsibly is important. We try to minimize our carbon footprint as well as treating our subject with respect. In order to get natural behaviour we try to be an unintrusive observer. If for some reason we do need to change the scene we put it back the way we found it after the filming. Responsible filming also includes obtaining and adhering to local permits, rules and owners of territory.

We license our content at competitive market prices and conditions. Our licenses range from simple single project use in a local area or web use to full fledged world wide in perpetuity broadcast use.
